With 35 years of combined experience, we bring a breadth of clinical experience and application from diverse backgrounds.  We maintain small class sizes, with a maximum ratio of 4:1, allowing for a unique learning experience not afforded by larger organizations.  We emphasize best evidence in the literature combined with clinical experience without gimmicks, allowing our graduates to return to practice confident they are performing a safe, effective intervention to best serve their patients.

Meet The Instructors

Dr. Anne-Marie Fox, PT, DPT, COMT, IMS-p

Dr. Fox was the former owner/CEO of A. Fox Physical Therapy, P.C. from 2006-2021. She has more than 37 years of experience, focusing in the areas of spinal disorders, chronic myofascial pain, orthopedics and TMD (temporomandibular dysfunction). She received her DPT from Regis University, Denver, CO. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist trained by the Maitland/Australian approach to manual therapy. She is both a Certified Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) and Functional Dry Needling (FDN) practitioner and member of the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain (iSTOP) in Vancouver, BC. Annie also served as an FDN instructor (Functional Dry Needling Dry Needling) for Kinetacore/EIM for almost a decade. In addition to iSTOP, Annie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in upstate New York, Annie received her undergraduate degrees at Arizona State and Texas Woman’s Universities prior to moving to Colorado. Annie is intrigued with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction that cannot be found on XRAY, MRI, or other diagnostic tests. She has a passion for her profession and an endless desire for getting her patients pain-free and functioning again. She is enthralled with differential diagnosis.

Annie has a passion for life-long learning, she is an avid golfer, member of the CGA, enjoys travel, the outdoors, fine cuisine, loves her dogs, and watching football!

Dr. Armstrong has practiced physical therapy at private outpatient practices specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, and injury care.  He completed his training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and trained under board certified orthopedic specialists in Aspen, CO.  He is Board-Certified in Orthopedics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.  He developed the Evidence-Based Dry Needling curriculum in 2019 and 2020.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Lucas received his undergraduate degree in Massachusetts prior to moving to Colorado.  An advocate of patient centered, evidence based physical therapy practice, he employs manual solutions with focused specific exercise programs to treat each person who enters his clinic individually, empowering them to return to function and beyond.

When away from the office, Lucas enjoys all things outdoors, travel, and food related.  He is an avid skier and enjoys touring in the backcountry.  He enjoys spending time near the water, whether flyfishing or sailing.  When near the kitchen, he enjoys creating and trying new and different foods.

Dr. Lucas Armstrong, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Laura Stewart, PT, DPT, CDN

Dr. Stewart graduated from Syracuse University with a major in exercise science. While getting her undergraduate degree, she got her EMT-B and worked at Syracuse University Ambulance. She then attended University of New England for her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She had a clinical rotation at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia where she gained valuable experience treating active duty military.

After graduation, she stayed in northern Virginia to work at various outpatient orthopedic clinics and she became Level 3 Certified in Dry Needling through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments. She also became a Level 1 Movement and Mobility Specialist with The Ready State.

Her treatment focused on a wide range of orthopedic, vestibular, and neurologic conditions. She moved back home to Colorado in 2020 to be close to family. She currently works as a physical therapist exclusively treating firefighters.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys snowboarding, ice hockey, and spending time with family and friends.
